Facebook The Movie

Sony Pictures and producer Scott Rudin are said to have contracted with Aaron Sorkin--writer of movies such as A Few Good Men and Charlie Wilson's War and for the television series West Wing and Sports Night--to write a script about the genesis of Facebook.
Sorkin's script, dated May 28 and obtained by Forbes, is titled The Social Network. It's the story of Zuckerberg, "a sweet-looking 19-year-old whose lack of any physically intimidating attributes masks a very complicated and dangerous anger."

Sen. Mar Roxas shared his time with Cebu Bloggers' Society

Everyone was given time to have their questions answered. Unfortunately, I was not able to asked question to Sen. Roxas because of the limited time he has shared with us. I was supposed to asked him this question, "Is there any truth about the speculations that he is just using News Anchor Korina Sanchez to gain popularity?" I hope not. I am still not convinced with Mar Roxas as this question continues bugging on my mind. But, if I find it true then I should take him out from my list of Presidentiables.

Massive Phishing Attack on Facebook

After a malicious virus which was widely spread all over Facebook users, here comes Massive Phishing Attack.
Hackers successfully stole passwords from some of Facebook's 200 million users.
Facebook has been hit by another hacking attack, as a phishing campaign was used to steal passwords from users of the social networking site.
Phishing is the criminally fraudulent process of attempting to acquire sensitive information such as usernames and passwords by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.
The hackers got passwords through what is known as a phishing attack, breaking into accounts of some Facebook members, then sending e-mails to friends and urging them to click on links to fake websites. Those sites were designed to look like the Facebook Home Page. The victims were directed to log back in to the site, but actually logged into the one controlled by the hackers, unwittingly giving away their passwords. The fake domains include www.151.im, www.121.im and www.123.im. Facebook has deleted all references to those domains.
Schnitt said that Facebook's security team believes the hackers intended to collect a large number of credentials, then use those accounts at a later time to send spam hawking fake pharmaceuticals and other goods to Facebook members.

Rashad Evans vs. Lyoto Machida UFC 98
Lyoto Machida was very aggressive, pushing Rashad Evans to step back. Machida dominated the whole fight. Evans could not even throw a punch to Machida because of the distance that Machida is maintaining. Evans' boxing style did not work against Machida. Machida leg kicking the shit out of a circling Evans and hitting/moving when he shoots in, damaging Evans's body. Machida threw a big left punch in the head slowing down Evans and finally knocked him down with a series of punches. Rashad Evans was badly beaten by "The Dragon". It was a devastating loss for the defending champion Rashad Evans.
The simple guy came out victorious. The Brazillian, Lyoto Machida made its way to the top, grabbing the UFC Light Weight Title from Rashad Evans.

Katrina Halili-Hayden Kho Sex Video Scandal
It's already annoying to hear lots of issues related to Katrina Halili-Hayden Kho Scandal and watch them crying in front of the TV's. Honestly, I have watched it already. I've found out that the Katrina Halili was aware that a video was taken while they were having sex and the same with Maricar Reyes, a Brazilian Model and Ruffa Mae. I guess, they enjoyed a lot and Katrina Halili has nothing to complain about the sex video scandal. They both have made mistakes and there's nothing they can do about it because it's already there. Katrina Halili-Hayden Kho Video scandal has already been viewed by thousands of curious people(inluding me..hahaha). All they have to do right now is to admit their mistakes and not just put the blame on other people. They are responsible for their own acts. They just have to face the consequences. For me, Katrina Halili should just keep silent and let time heals the pain she gets from committing "human error". However, Hayden Kho must sue his friend for uploading Katrina Halili, Maricar Reyes, Ruffa Mae Quinto,Brazilian Model sex videos and letting it spread globally through the net.

Suspected Cases of A H1N1 Virus found in Cebu

More about this news, just check: OFW, wife checked for swine flu in Cebu
Also, a British woman who had already been staying in Cebu for week voluntarily surrendered herself to undergo tests after suspecting that she acquired the virus.
Source: philstar.com
This is the first case of swine flu in the Philippines. I was already worried about the possible outcomes if this is really true. I am already planning to buy a surgical mask tomorrow as a protection if this outbreak will be confirmed. This is also to avoid from running out of mask because i know for sure that people would go panic-buying. It is always true: Prevention is better than cure, and what's worst is that there is still no cure for this disease.
We will just hope and pray that "It was just a false alarm". The Filipino public now should be more proactive and should do their own precautionary measures from getting infected with the deadly virus.

Pacquiao wins via TKO in the 2nd Round ( Live Video Streaming)

After many months of waiting Manny Pacquiao ended up the fight only in just 2 rounds.
Manny Pacquiao was dominating. Pacquiao has proven again that he is really the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world. Hatton was knocked down twice in the first round and a powerful left hand to the head late in the second round turned down Hatton to the canvas.
Referee Kenny Bayless took one look at Hatton and declared the fight over at 2:59 of the round.
"I didn't have to count," Bayless said.
Here is the full coverage of the fight:
"I'm surprised the fight was so easy," Pacquiao said. "He was wide open for the right hook. I knew he would be looking for my left."
Slow Motion Video of Manny Pacquiao's Killer Punch:
"I was just doing my job, I always try to do my best in the ring", said Manny Pacquiao.
It was indeed a boring fight for Manny Pacquiao. Hatton is a boring fighter. Manny Pacquiao undergone many months of rigid training only to find out that Hatton's power is only up to the 2nd round. His power is not enough to stop "The Pacman" from dominating the world of boxing.

Victorious Fights of Viloria and Donaire against Mexican Boxers
Brian Viloria grabbed the IBF Light Flyweight Championship belt from the Mexican, Ulises Solis. Viloria throwed his very powerful "hawaiian punches" and knocking down Solis at the eleventh round.
FYI: Hawaiian Punch is a powerful straight right hook. This is Viloria's killer punch that is why he is tagged as "The Hawaiian Punch".
Video of Viloria vs. Ulises:
On the main event, the reigning IBF Flyweight Champion Nonito "The Flash" Donaire showed the "heart of a Champion". Donaire outplayed and outlasted the Mexican-American Raul Martinez. Martinez was being knocked down for several times but he still stayed tough until the referee decided to end up the fight after his 4th knockdown in the 4th round of the fight.
Video of Donaire vs. Martinez:
What I like about the Mexican boxers who fought yesterday was their respect and sportmanships. No trash talks, no complaints--they just simply accepted their defeat. Raul Martinez even showed his respect to Filipino crowd by waving the Philippine Flag over them.

Police Indiscretion on Failon Case
Mishap of Failon Family is filled with controversy. Police investigators are trying to question the statement of Ted Failon and other people involved--was it really a suicide or a foul play? Failon family and other concerned people on the other hand, denounce the unlikely behavior of Police men conducting the investigation of the Failon case. Are they taking this opportunity to take vengeance against Ted Failon for criticizing the Police of NIA Road incident?
Here are the different reactions on how the Police handles the investigation:
Senator Francis Pangilinan's Reaction
Pangilinan said the warrantless arrests of family

"Does the QCPD (Quezon City Police District) have an ax to grind against Ted Failon? “Kitang-kita ng publiko kung gaano kagaspang ang ugali ng mga pulis na umaresto sa kanila. Bastusan na ba talaga ang sistema natin ngayon? (The public saw how roughly our police handled Ted and the others accused by the police. Is the system really as bad as this?)” Roxas fumed.
“Alam ng lahat kung gaano katindi bumanat si Ted sa mga nasa gobyerno, lalo na ang mga pulis na corrupt. Nagdududa na tuloy ang marami na tina-target si Ted ng mga awtoridad sa imbestigasyong ito (Everyone knows how Ted criticizes this government, how much he abhors corrupt police officers. So now people suspect authorities are just getting back at Ted, that would explain the rough treatments),” the Visayan senator said.
Honestly, I find the news disturbing. I am not a fan or a supporter of Ted Failon, I do not even care whether it was self-inflicted or perhaps a foul play, but there seems to be wrong in the investigation in so

Palm Sunday and its Revelation

Palm Sunday commemorates the Triumphal Entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, the week before His agony, death and resurrection. For many Christian churches, Palm Sunday, often referred to as "Passion Sunday," marks the beginning of Holy Week, which concludes on Easter Sunday. The Bible reveals that when Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds greeted him with waving palm branches, and by covering His path with palm branches. Immediately following this great time of celebration in the ministry of Jesus, He begins his journey to the cross.
As we celebrate "Palm Sunday", let us not forget the God's calling during this Lenten Season: "Stop the Violence". This has brought God to the Cross to save us from all our sins. Abortion, drugs, killings, verbal abuse and etc. are the misdeeds that we are still continue doing today despite God's greatest sacrifice--giving up His life for us. The church is asking the people--who continue crucifying God by acts of violence--for their "CONSCIENCE". We must CHANGE for the better and influence other people. Let us STOP crucifying God!
The priest told us a story:
There was one child named James whose parents died at the early age in a car accident. He was so down and desperate at that moment. He even thought of committing suicide. As he was about to take his own life, he knocked at the other door of where he was staying and a little girl opened up. James asked for a glass of water and the little girl went immediately to the kitchen. After a moment the girl came back and offered him a glass of milk. He was surprised and overwhelmed by the generosity of the little girl. Then, he walked away. After a few years, the girl was hospitalized. The Doctors found out that the girl was suffering from a brain tumor and the parents believed that she is dying. It was recommended that girl should undergo operation but the parents said they don't have the resources to pay for the operation. They were hopeless to save the girl. They just offered everything to God. Few days later, an unknown Doctor came to save the girl. He offered a free operation. The operation was successful and the girl was very thankful. She wanted to say thank you to the kind-hearted Doctor but he chose not to disclose his identity, but the girl insisted and so he went to the girl. The doctor said to the girl; "You don't have to say thank you because it wasn't for free. You already paid me with a glass of milk."
Reflections:
This reminds us that a simple act of generosity would change people's lives and even save people's lives just like Dr. James. Through the glass of milk, the good girl saved him from committing suicide because she made him realized that there is still a reason to live. Let us change our lives and change others lives to repay God's goodness. These are the things that we must ponder during this "Holy Week".
God bless everyone!

"Everything"
We presented a comical skit with the song "Everything by Lifehouse". This comical skit talks about the creation of human and how God protects human (us) from life's challenges and difficulties. It shows the God's greatest sacrifice.
It really touches everyone's heart realizing the goodness of God despite's human's imperfections. He is always there to give us love, mercy and kindness. He is there to protect us, guide us, enlighten us, and the most, gave up His life to save us. God is always there to offer us "EVERYTHING".
Have you ever think of some instances that you feel like God doesn't exist? Think about it, you'll realize that God never had even a second leaving you alone. Reflect on this!
God allows us to experience the low points of life in order to teach us lessons we could not learn in any othe r way. The way we learn those lessons is not to deny the feelings but to find the meanings underlying the m.
God is undeniably great, right???
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
God bless everyone!=)

The best Blind Boxer of the World

A 36-year-old Ugandan, Bashir Ramathan, might have lost his eyesight but he certainly has not lost faith in himself and hope in life.
"You find other blind people sad at home. I say to them, you have to move. If you stay like that, you could bring more sickness on your body", Ramathan told Agence France-Presse (AFP) in an interview on Tuesday, February 25.
Because he can no longer see, his wife left him taking his daughter away. He has no way to run, his parents are already dead. Still, he is strong and was able to go on with life.
"It forced me to become strong. I had to learn how to be alone," said Ramathan, leaning against a wall with cracked paint.
"I was told by my parents I could do everything.",he added.
With great enthusiasm and determination, he continued boxing and live like no difficulties being blind. He even said, "Boxing makes me feel more and more normal."
He is a very good fighter and even become the best blind boxer in Uganda. Boxers fear to compete against him blindfolded because Bashir can sense faster than others and is very sharp.
Every morning, he takes a two-kilometer, hour-long jog with a guide who runs alongside to prevent Ramathan from hurting himself. He then go to the gym for weight-lifting and training.
He has fought in over 15 matches since he resumed boxing and remains undefeated.
Ramathan recognizes that boxing is more difficult without sight, but says he has learned how to "see" with his ears.
In matches, he listens for the breathing and the footsteps of the other boxer to guide his own actions. When the floor is too padded to allow noise, a coach stands outside of the ring to shout directions to both blindfolded boxers.
Now Ramathan's deep character and skills astounded coaches and inspired people all over the world.
The Battle to build the best Web browser is on for Apple's Safari

The browser battle gets any weirder, here comes Steve Jobs appearing onto the scene and aggressively wants to be on top again.
If last year's release of Safari for Windows seemed like an experiment, Apple's
Safari 4's headline feature: Nitro, a Javascript engine that Apple boasts will run Javascript 4.2 times faster than was possible on its previous browser, Safari 3. Running Javascript quickly and reliably is the key to making ever more sophisticated Web-based applications work well, with Mozilla and Google among those touting the speed and stability of their Javascript efforts. It also includes Coverflow, a uniquely Apple touch that will be familiar to anyone with an iPod. The feature allows browsers to look through their Web history or bookmarks as if they were flipping through a shelf full of record albums.
The software also puts tabs for bouncing from one page to the next at the top of the browser window. And similar to Google's Chrome, Safari 4 offers previews of your favorite pages that you can go to with a single click. The best feature, though, could be simply that the browser, a free download, definitely came from Apple: It just plain looks nice.
It would be fair to say we're now living in the golden age of the Web browser. That's a big change from just a few years ago, when the browser market was stagnant, and Internet Explorer is all we got.

How Valentine's Day began?!

Every February, across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. But who is this mysterious saint and why do we celebrate this holiday? The history of Valentine's Day — and its patron saint — is shrouded in mystery.
One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men — his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.
According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl — who may have been his jailor's daughter — who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still in use today. Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories certainly emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic figure. It's no surprise that by the Middle Ages, Valentine was one of the most popular saints in England and France.
While some believe that Valentine's Day is celebrated in the middle of February to commemorate the anniversary of Valentine's death or burial — which probably occurred around 270 A.D — others claim that the Christian church may have decided to celebrate Valentine's feast day in the middle of February in an effort to 'christianize' celebrations of the pagan Lupercalia festival. In ancient Rome, February was the official beginning of spring and was considered a time for purification. Houses were ritually cleansed by sweeping them out and then sprinkling salt and a type of wheat called spelt throughout their interiors. Lupercalia, which began at the ides of February, February 15, was a fertility festival dedicated to Faunus, the Roman god of agriculture, as well as to the Roman founders Romulus and Remus.
No matter how Valentine's Day emerged, it is our yearly celebration to express our love not just to our lovers but also our friends, relatives and most specially to our parents. Greeting "Happy Valentine's Day" to special people around us means so much to them and so we should not forget to tell them today. This day is not just for partners,it is also for singles like me. I still have the reason to celebrate it!
I'm planning to give flowers to someone special. I hope I do have the guts to do it.(lol)
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!BE MY VALENTINE..=)

2009 KFC-PBA Cup Champion

My all-time favorite PBA Team Talk n' Text made its way to bring home the crown. The "Tropang Texters" trurned down the Aces as they ended up Game 7 with 93-89 victory, Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum. At the start, it was quite unpredictable who's gonna win the game. I was a little bit dubious for the TNT as the two teams were just exchanging the leads. Luckily, at 10:53 in the 4th quarter the TNT had their biggest lead in the game due to an impressive play from Cardona.
The "Mighty Bond's Finals MVP" was awarded to the Talk n' Text's lead scorer Mac-Mac Cardona. Cardona's triple gave TNT its biggest lead at 76-63.

The Eco Couriers: Cebu's 1st Bicycle Messenger
I have read an article on the BITE MAGAZINE about "Eco Couriers". The bicycle enthusiasts of Cebu has come up with an idea of providing fast and easy delivery of items on your specified locations around Cebu City, Mactan and Mandaue City.

There is one-hour delivery guaranteed to customers. The items should only have a maximum of 5 kg. Call or text their hotline and be sure to provide the pick-up and delivery location with the sender and receiver's name. The pick-up/delivery would cost only Php 50.00 with hassle-free. Just set down and relax, and soon you'll be surprised that he/she would say "YES" to your "I Love You".
This is quite interesting and maybe I would try this at some other time..(lol).

Global Warning

We couldn't deny the reality that we already feel the effect of Global warning. Weeks ago there was excessive coolness that never happened in the past years. Week after, untolerable heat had hit the city. Nature is now suffering an imbalance. Sooner or later we'll all suffer the worst effect of this phenomena.
Laws protecting the environment must be implemented and should excuses no one. Illegal loggers must vanish or else we'll all suffer from their bad habits.
We must follow this man and do little things to help save the mother earth. Be concerned on the world that we are living.

Aetheists' Bus Advertising Against God's Existence
The proposed campaign slogan -- "The bad news is that God does not exist. The good news is that we do not need him." -- has been condemned by the Roman Catholic archdiocese of Genoa, whose Archbishop Angelo Bagnasco is president of the influential Italian Bishops Conference.
"There are some methods which promote dialogue and others which feed intolerance. Head-on opposition always demonstrates intolerance," said Father Gianfranco Calabrese, responsible for the diocese's catechism.
The Italian Union of Rationalist Atheists and Agnostics (UAAR), which is behind the publicity campaign, said it is setting out "to challenge" conventional religious beliefs "on Bagnasco's turf."
As long as we have faith in God, no one could take us away from Him. We will always believe that God is above everything. For those who do not believe in God shall perish and suffer in vain.
Post a comment. Let us tell the world that we are believers of God and God exists in us.
