According to wikipedia, ASUS is a Taiwanese multinational company which produces motherboards, graphics cards, optical drives, and other computer stuffs. Commonly called by its brand name ASUS (pronounced ah-SOOS ] and commonly mispronounced as AY-sus). Since 2006, 35.0% of PCs sold used an ASUS motherboard and I belong to that 'coz I am an ASUS(motherboard)user.
By the way, to have a better idea about Overclocking show, it involves speeding up computer beyond the manufacturer's specifications in order to run faster. Common in the gaming world, overclocking the CPU is accomplished by changing the clock ratio, which is also called as CPU Multiplier, of the frontside bus (FSB) in the BIOS setup. Older methods were changing a jumper on the motherboard or changing the clock crystal. Although enhanced cooling systems are typically added when a CPU is overclocked, over time, the CPU or the motherboard may not be able to handle the increased speed. ---(source:pcmag.com)
